
In-car Instructor Course
The In-Car Driving Instructor Course prepares candidates with the practical skills and confidence required to deliver professional, ministry-compliant driving instruction. This course consists of 80 hours of theory instruction and 51 hours of in-vehicle training. Offered in partnership with Centennial College, Fanshawe College and Humber College.

How to become a Driving Instructor
There is no specific order for the below; it can be completed in any order.
1. Visit a DriveTest location to obtain the Driving Instructor Application, which involves:

Paying your MTO application fee

Complete the Vision Test

Complete the G1 knowledge test
-
Complete the road test
2. Obtain a Criminal Record and Judicial Matter Check (CR&JMC) from your local police
3. Enroll in the course at one of the following colleges:​

Prerequisites:
- Hold a valid G driver's license, minimum of 4 years
